Lockdown/Quarantine activities

Postby gadj1976 » Sun Mar 29, 2020 9:32 pm

So, this phase is inevitable.

We're going to be locked down soon enough, or even so, if we're not we will have to entertain the kids during school holidays without the normal activities such as movies, bowling, arcade machines, play dates etc, etc.

So what are you planning?

For me, two main things. Firstly, I'm going to teach the kids banking 'techniques' and creating a fitness schedule that the kids will have to adhere to. I have some jigsaws to do as a collective activity but otherwise I'm open to ideas.

What are you going to do to pass the time?

Fortunately in a position to spend some money on some paint, so went and got 30lt of Vivid White for the walls, 20lt of ceiling white and 3 x 5lt tins of some various feature colours and some brushes, tape, rollers, drop sheets. Plan to paint the kitchen, laundry, lounge room, hallway and rumpus room.

Have also got some bits and pieces from previous ventures to get the veggie patch in as good order as possible, just need to find some seeds/seedlings to buy and grow, even they've been hoarded.

Collectively we've all spoken about a serious bedroom clean up and drop off to Goodwill, need to be a real cull, 1), to make some space, 2), there's going to be people in need who will need it more than us.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

We did a cleanup and donated a heap of stuff to Red Cross.
Alot of the kids toys that were never even opened or played with.

Hopefully some kids can use them to enjoy themselves.

Daughter, partner and myself had a BBQ and a few reds out in the back yard Saturday night and played Cards Against Humanity. First time I've played it and we pissed ourselves all night. Before we knew it, it was 2am and I was legless.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Great fun. The more perverse and depraved your mind, the more fun you'll have.

Bum Crack would have had an absolute ball then. ;)

Played it once with a couple who don’t drink.
Never again!
They remembered everything I said, I clearly didn’t.
