I heard that ground coffee does the trick so I emptied the machine at work a couple of times and took the coffee remnants home to spread around the bases of my stalks for some new cuey's, tommies and cappo's, it bloody well works a treat.

A benefit of working in a pub, unlimited ground coffee. ;)

You can sprinkle as much as you like around the base of your stalk whenever you want ;)

Have you tried trimming back the foliage? It's somewhat of an optical illusion.

Started picking cherry tomatoes this morning. Beans have been prolific and cucumbers starting. Corn perhaps a week away.

Basil still small but this bout of hot weather should see it get a move on.

Fair amount of white fly amongst the tomatoes this morning. Perfect time to apply some dust (late this arvo) with the cool weather forecast for the next week.

Just hoping the garden is still in reasonable shape over home during this heat. Didn’t set the timers… bugger!

I have the same annoying problem, eating the leaves of flowers and my citrus plants. How do you place the coffee grounds - just around the stalks like a circle or just drop them randomly near the plants?

All are small trees - only about 2 metres tall - and were here before I bought this house in 2018.
None had more than a few small fruit until this year. So it may just that they are now the right age to start fruiting.

The local birdlife has now cleaned them all up - nothing left. But they are welcome to them as I can't be bothered buying nets and putting them over the trees. I'm not really a gardener at heart...

Fertilise, water and make it a feature.

I kill everything that way.
