Anyone on here know much about caravans?
I'm looking at buying a 2007 Crusader, 21 foot with full ensuite.
Anything to look out for?

What vehicle have you got to tow it with?

Amarok and Isuzu MUX
the van weighs 2050 kgs,
both cars rated to 3000 kgs

Make sure you know all about tow weights.
GVM and GCM most importantly

With checking the van make sure you check for water leaks or minor water damage all over the van but especially around any joins.
Check wheel camber as well(get a wheel alignment at a truck specialist after you buy it anyway).
If it’s a 3 way fridge make sure it works on gas, 240v and 12volt when connected to car(you’ll need the car wired for this).

Just like a car inspect all over for any previous damage(lots of vans were written off in the QLD/NSW storms) which people are trying to sell off cheaply ATM.

When we painted the house we upped the carport and panel lift door to accommodate a van in the near future.

Upped the car to the Subaru Outback ( 2000kg braked ) with an eye to going into something bigger ( perhaps ) in the future.

Baby steps along the way, costly ones, but baby steps looking at 5-10 years from now and how we travel.

I'm actually just about to sell my van as we brought a new one. Kids absolutely love it, but as mentioned and it looks like you are just be right across the GVM and GCM.
