Here's the words.....

So bend ya backs and row me Lads, tomorrow night we sail

We sail into the harbour, no prouder men we'll be.......

We'll show them all we've captured the monster from the sea....

Maybe a Schotish or Ire-ish band...?

Someone may know...?

Dog_ger needs some help again...

Thanks dudes....

70's or early 80's...?

Maybe an oldie will pick it up...?

As Magpie in the 80's said it's The Whale by (Terry)Fielding and (Fred)Dyer. Was released back in 1972 on the Spin Label and made the top forty. They were from New South Wales (Woolongong if I'm not mistaken)
IIRC It was the only record they ever released - It was certainly their only hit. When I was collecting records I use to see stacks of copies around in second hand shops.
