Over rated sporting ppl

after recent batting performances and scathing attacks on Mr G Manou

is it time to put him in the over rated class along with his current girlfriend Tamsyln Lewis

for the amount of media they get ....yes manou is the sa capt..

but every where u turn pic of manou , interveiew of how the long distance r/ship

for those who dont know too much about athletics tamslyn Lewis has shown potential but thats about it

her pet event before this year the 800m has NEVER made a olympic, world champ or commonwealth final

but she is portrayed as a succesful runner...tamsyln ask janna what a gold medal looks like that she has earnt

not relied on a relay ..

maybe they are suited to each other

Fair enough, must admit I've never heard her touted as being our greatest sportsperson ever but if I had I would agree that she isn't.

I think it was raylene boyle and a few others complaining that she was too low in the recent top 100 sports people. maybe?? but she has nothing on the don, dawn, betty, susie oneill, thorpey - there are a few in front of her in my opinion, including the odd AFL footballer- not their fault its not a world wide. IMO.

Dunno, I'd probably have her in front of most swimmers as swimming is only a sport in a % of countries where running is everywhere, its probably the reason we win a lot of medals in the pool but not many on the track. I rate track medals as probably the highest.

I don't think the Shark was overrated, no doubt he dropped a tournament or two (one in particular) that he probably should have gone on to win, but there's not much you can do about freak shots the likes of which we saw from Zoeller and Tway ... At the moment I would put names like Baddely and Scott on that list before him, they however still have the time on their side to rectify.

He's still a dual British Open winner, the Wimbledon equivalent, which along with the exposure he provided the game makes him a great imho.
