Article from: The Advertiser
RADIO personality Ken "KG" Cunningham is recovering in hospital after suffering from circulation problems affecting blood flow to the heart this morning.
Cunningham was walking on the beach with his long time friend Dennis Brown when he began to feel ill.
He continued walking but passed out soon after.
He was unconscious for about two minutes.
Cunningham was rushed to Ashford Hospital and has since undergone a procedure to insert a stent.
Doctors said Cunningham was lucky to not suffer a heart attack and is expected to make a full recovery.

My Grandmother had a similar occurance, and she has bounced back fine! She is also older than KG, and most probably considerably less fitter - so hopefully he will have a full recovery.

If you named the kid MAL i will open a bank account for $50 for the kid.
Unbelievable.
As a kid I saw KG batting for SA, we needed 100 off the last 10 overs in a o/d game
KG smashed them and we got up, I reckon KG made a ton that day.

My grandpa always says KG was the best cricketer not to play for Australia, I can't agree or disagree as I never seen him play

What about Ian Botham, he was pretty good.

KG was a left handed batsman with a good array of strokes, his pull shots exceptional.
He bowled meduim pace with a good deal of success.
Played late 60's into the 70's from memory.
He also was a SANFL footy umpire.
KG an extremely talented sportsman, but not as good as Ian Botham!

will KG continue to call the footy ? - or will the docs tell me he's gotta take it easy now... i hope not. Definitely love the passion in which KG calls and honestly believe he adds colour to the great game of aussie rules. I can't help but respect the man and love the old school values/ways about him. as I've said before blokes of this era remind me of my dear late father (ex Wingfield Royals captain 1970's) and it will definitely be the end of an era when blokes like him, Kerls et al depart. and mungo I reckon ken should continue as long as he can - it is obvious the man lives and breathes sport and I agree (gotta be a first) with roadmap face cornes in that if Kg was to retire he may shrivel up and die! well just my thoughts

Must admit when my kids were first born and I had time off and they were sleeping it was the perfect time to be going online.
Surely more appropriate than going out and getting pissed with mates?
Im with you Dutchy.
