SNAPPER

i was able to purchase a 5kg snapper for $30 the other day. was told this was a good buy as it is around the $18kg in the markets?????

does anybody have any good ideas for cooking it up??????? and what to fill it up with?????

I love Snapper, don't have a recipe but the best Ive had is on the Weber.

If your going camping, wrap it in foil with a little butter and herbs and place it in amongst the coals of the fire (during the cooller months of course).

sliced tomato, lemon, red onion and place in its guts with a bit of butter and few herbs, wrap with al-foil and bake. beautiful!

Thanks lads, we are doing it for x-mas and i think it will be done with a webber.

Good choice.
The Snapper and the Flathead are my two favourite eating fish, Im sure you'll love it!
I'll ask my mum whath she puts with/in it when using the Webber as she always makes a scrumptious Snapper on the Webber. I'll pass it on.

I usually stuff it with fruit. Then splash over it some good white, plenty of Bush Herbs. Wrap in foil and bake slowly.

I actually like to cook, or at the least prepare a meal with the bride. Now that only two of us are home its good fun.

I also believe men DO "teach" their wives to cook like their own mothers, but thats for a different thread.
