Cool, another new sponsor, thanks for the news!

Lived in Happy Valley for almost a decade now, only received one blackout in that time. I always laugh how people complain about them so much these days as they have short memories and forget how many we used to get in the 70s and 80s especially.

Consider yourself fortunate.

I reakon we had 4 power outages (in Marion) last summer alone; several more before then. They ranged in duration from hours to seconds. Even a few-seconds outage is annoying 'coz one has to run around the house reprogramming devices with clocks.

I hope Ive used up all my blackout credits to last me a few years after the Januray episode, 26 ******* hours later a truck drives past and in 10 mins 'God said let there be light and............ ETSA turned the power on' :x

Poor form when the workshop is just a 30 second drive away and a substation two doors down from my joint

See where your coming from Wedgie but I think there are still certain areas in town that are having more problems with them now than they ever have before.

That was'nt the whole of Prospect dinga, just your joint.
We've formed a vigilante group to cut your power off at regular intervals to get you out of our suburb after you've been seen loitering at the BP on Prospect Rd on Sunday mornings.

Not sure when etc, but when I got home last night from dinner (8:30?) my power was off, and then went back on in a few minutes. No sure how long it was out for.

I work in the Marden area and the power goes out all the time. We have enquired as to why it occurs so regularly. When looking into the causes of all the recent power outages the majority were environmental. This means basically trees causing damage to the lines. Apparently most councils have an agreement with ETSA to regularly prune trees but this council area has no such agreement.
