Yeah, don't normally have a big NYE but have the kids down at the Grandparents and spending the night at my best mates who is having a party, haven't caught up with him since North won at Glenelg Oval this year so it was timed nicely. Bit worried though, he has a pool, lots of heavy drinkers, cocktails and pools tend to get ugly!
Mrs Wedgie is hitting the white wine as well as the cocktails so I can see her getting messy too!

Was supposed to be going to Overland Corner hotel for what's usually a huge night.
Will now be sitting at home with a few quiet beers. Hoping upon hope that a galah (which was given to me by my uncle) miraculously discovers our backyard tonight after it escaped earlier this afternoon.

Several birds in my backyard, a couple of them wearing bikini's around the pool, but alas no parrots.
Showing some mates this site, they are the partners of the bikini's

Well gave up on the bird by 8.30.
Started walking up to the main street - where there was a street party. and lo and behold there was the fuging bird on a powerline less than a k from my house...
How do you get a bird down from there??? You fugging don't. We stood there 20 minutes. tried to coax the bastid down and then he flew off.
Sooo....ended up down the main street drinking Bundy Dark and Stormy. Not bad. No hangover either.
