Net-debating / fact versus opinion.

Something many of us do (and love) is to have different opinions in real life and on the net boards. Something i've thought about for a while, and in no way am i trying to flame any posters or supporters in this post.
I am as guilty as anyone, many of us will make a post which will say something like :
"Player XYZ is hopeless"
"We will win on Saturday"
what i am trying to say is that many of us post an opinion as a factual statement.
If u were at the footy, would you be more likely to say "I think player XYZ is hopeless" or "I think that we will win today" and state it more as an opinion then a fact?
I think: If it's an opinion, pretty hard to debate, as everyone is entitled to an opinion. but if it's posted as fact, then maybe the poster is leaving themselves right open to be proven wrong?

I think this is the worst thread ever posted on SAFooty...except for those stupid circ vs. snuffy threads that numbnuts kept putting up early doors.

At least this debate can involve both genders of the species.

So what you're saying is, "net-debating" is the same as being drunk

Haha! Sorry G.
People sober often say "I think that....."
But after a few too many coloured waters, the comments are more "fact" based.
Ergo, "net-debating" is like being drunk - you lack the tact.
