i believe that from the 29/1/2007 that woolworths are changing their uniforms from red, white & green to just green, men to wear green shirts & no ties while the girls the same the trousers & skirts to remain black

Shock, Horror!
An unorthodox move as drastic as that could destroy the entire fabric of society as we know it!

Possibly the most banal post ever made to SAFooty. Kudos to you sir, kudos to you!

I'd pay money to watch Bayman and MightyEagles having a conversation about supermarket uniforms and pork ads!

Cheers for that Bayman. I'll remember that when I next go into Wollies and impersonate someone working there.

My brother works for woolies, will ask him, then we can put this rumour to rest and forget that any of us were stupid enough to reply to this thread...

just on the woolies theme: this wednesday they are going to donate the days profits australia wide to the drought stricken farmers. personally i think they have been ripping farmers off with their low buying costs and high retail prices for years. woolies must be feeling guilty BUT in the end will come out looking good to the public.

Yep this one's right up there with something along the lines of oil companies dropping the price of petrol for a day by 2 percent to help out the everyday motorist.

if it is tuesday then woolies dont want to give too much away. tuesday is the lowest taking day of the week from 20 years experience as a supermarket manager

Also don't forget that the local IGA/Tom/Four Square that is the one that has been in your town for years and years sponsoring sport and community events, employing locals, keeping money in the towns rather than going to Woolies in the bigger regional centres, living AMONGST you.
