RED ROOSTER did a bad bad thing.....

BAYMAN ordered 1/4 chicken and chips
MAL ordered 1/4 chicken and chips
MT79 ordered chicken strips and chips

35 minutes later we were served
The one young girl on the front counter was cursing and bitching
about the system of orders.
Pathetic service
The chicken was ok but the 20 odd chips we got was meagre.

Another extremely over-rated franchise, and they never seem
to have many customers compared to some other chicken shops
When you drive past Blair Athol there is a Red Rooster and a Chicken
Chef within 500 meters, guess which shop has the most customers. :?:
RR gives you 20 odd french fries chips, CC gives you abou 50 odd thick
and real chips.

I find all the Red Rooster franchises to be completely different.
I wouldn't feed my dog what I've got a couple of times at the Castle Plaza Red Rooster (and theyve stuffed up my order every time) but the Aberfoyle Park Red Rooster has some of the best take away I've ever had and have been quick and always got the feed correct.

PS Im glad its Red Rooster that did a bad thing and not Rod Rooster!

Red Rooster tried getting into SA a couple of times in the 80s but failed. I don't reckon it will last here this time either. What does it do that your local chook shop doesn't do a zillion times better?

Edwardstown, on South Rd.

I love Red Roosters Wrapz (minus cheese) and their chips at Aberfoyle Park are even better than KFCs.
Roast meals are sensational.
Ive only found one chicken shop better and that's Fat Chicken on Henley Beach Rd and Diagonal Rd.

You know Mal, that's what I like about you.
Whilst many of us will be having debates about the flag, racism, sporting clubs, politics, etc you're worried about the quality of Red Rooster!
Stay golden my friend!

Must say I agree...RR at the Hub has pleassantly suprised me recently....they cook a mighty fine chook...

The Chicken shop at the Hub within 12 months has KFC open 200m from them and the RR open 500m from them, however they have never been busier!!!! says a lot

One word - franchise.

Red Rooster - can remember it from the early 90s. Failed dismally. Seems to be huge in the eastern states now. If it hangs in there - it'll be here for a long time.

Do we have Krispy Kremes here yet? That could spell trouble - especially for the cops!

I remember a Red Rooster in the 80s at once again, the Castle Plaza although I think the 80s version was where Hungrys now is. It was goddamn awful.
Yet my Bro in law who lived in Perth swore by Red Rooster (where they came from) and couldn't understand why it never took off here.
Doesn't matter about the name as it is still about how well you cook the bloody chook, simple.

The Red Rooster in Ingle Farm have the best chips for any fast food place Ive ever been to. Only the Para Vista Chicken shop have better chips.

They should open a franchise down Jetty Road....
It's always a pleasure seeing Roosters spit roasted
& stewing in their own juices down the Bay eh!

The rig's tied, the hook's baited & the line is cast... now waiting for a bite!

I ordered drive-thru at the Harbour Town Red Rooster the other day and got to the window to collect and they had to ask for my order again... As zipzap says, your local chicken shop probably does it better. There are Red Roosters popping up everywhere now though - another is being built on Henley Beach Rd where the old lawn mower place use to be.
