Sportsbeat was this week purchased by The Independent Weekly.
Sportsbeat founder David Basheer will remain involved as a consultant and shareholder, and it will continue to be edited by Alan Shiell.
Expected to be revamped with similar content when it returns this year.

Barry Curtin - was a MC at a sportsman's night i was at once. We spent whole night calling him Beef Curtins. Didn't like it.
