I have been noticing the amount of people selling raffle tickets around Glenelg and in town which sheets of paper standing at corners harrasing you as you walk by. Unfortunatly Glenelg FC has also hired these "knobs" to sell their tickets also. Soon if this isn't stopped we will end up with people selling timeshare in SA.

AGree - its a joke...the Glenelg sellers tried to get me at Marion the other day, I declined but he still persisted and asked who I barracked for...as I walked away I said "Glenelg"...the look on his face was priceless

I wouold love to see the figures on what the Bays get after they take out their commision...compared to if they sold them themselves through volunteers and members and got 100% of the proceeds...Ill be more than happy to by 5 tickets at the club this year but not from commision inventive based sellers...

The worst Ive seen is at the Adelaide United games...I reckon last game I got asked no less than 10 times in 30 minutes, 3 times by the same bloke...by the end I worked out the easy way to get rid of them - "Ive bought one already mate"...

The vultures who circle the bars at Footy Park during Crows or Power games are the worst!
They all know me by now so there's no need to tell them to "F*#K OFF!!!!" anymore...
It might've taken a while but it was well worth it!

What I do is I flick my hand upwards aggressively as if to say "nick off" - and I don't look at them when I do it. It's worked well for me as the people who try to approach me back off quick smart. I've got better things to do.

good tactic Phil. I did it for one week at the footy 2 years ago. A mate did it week in week out and i only did it to get into the footy for free. Learnt very quickly of the dos and donts of the trade and one of them is to get the eye contact and they have you by the balls. Now I use these tactics to avoid the bastards :)

Agreed, these ones are the most annoying ... I don't even try to BS them anymore because they can see right through ya, I just say "No" and thats usually enough for them to leave me alone (for 5 mins anyway) now!
