Agreed, this country should never forget what many amazing men (& boys) and women did for this country by making the ultimate sacrifice.
They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning
We will remember them.

Those of you that have Foxtel, do your selves a favour watch the special on Weary Dunlop tomorrow, having read his war diaries what he went through to protect his boys was amazing....
for the next 40 years any of his POWs that came and saw him as patient - no charge....
The man had his faults but in short he is one of THE great Australians......

Went to the Dawn Service in Adelaide. It was great as always. The Aboriginal Servicemen were given special recognition, and deservedly so.
Another highlight was the pre-ANZAC DAY-match buildup, when TL chatted to 2 of the 'Rats of Tobruk'. My late Grandfather served in Tobruk. He had explained it as the worst experience of his life.
To me, ANZAC Day is our most important national public holiday to reflect and give thanks for the sacrifices of many that we can enjoy the freedom we do in this country.

Watched the Currumbin early morning activities from my pad.
Also went for a walk to hear Powderfinger play.
But didnt play in the biggest two up game in the world.
Every April 25
Every November 11
Every May 8
Days to remember
Gone but never ever forgotten
