Warning Tram works to hit King Willam Street

They start working down King Willam Street this weekend for the tram. Don't think you are allowed to drive dowwn King Willam Street for the next two weeks or so buses are allowed only :)

People turning right on King William street are a major cause of traffic hold ups in the first place, getting rid of it is actually going to lessen problems in the area! Should have been done years ago! 8)

Was interesing to head down North Terrace and have a look at the new workings going on. looks like a good design for the terminus by the Uni. Hopefully they go on to extend it around West Terrace and back to Vic Square. 8)

What would be great is if when they do the opening day they truck down some of the other Trams from St Kilda for a carnival day back and forward to Glenelg for the public. It would be great to see the Goverment buy a replica open sided St Francsisco Bay Tram for weekend use to go with the modern ones. :D

I was staying at the Stamford Plaza when they started in earnest. It rapidly became very difficult. I moved to Aldgate for the rest of the stay.
