You beat me to it diss - was about to post the same thing! Eddie has "boned" himself

Maybe could be to do with his comments last week about him rather seeing Collingwood win the premiership than Nine win ratings....

EDDIE McGuire has announced his resignation as chief executive of the Nine Network.

Nine said McGuire would move to an increased presence on air and the provision of creative and programming services, with the change taking effect from June 30.

um...........................who cares?

Eddie was never CEO in the first place...

What's the bet that he'll host 'The Footy Show' again and another million and 1 shows on nine.

That's been rumoured for a while, Nine's performance under Eddie has not been great and, under his 'leadership', a lot of quality creative & production people have moved to 7.

Plus his on-screen absence was hurting ratings even further.

Heard this morning that Miwwionare will be back on screen very soon. He's probably happy to move back to Melbourne, apparanlty his mrs wasnt making it on the social set in Sydney and was miserable anyhoo..

How the hell do you work that out? For what it is worth 9's coverage was alot better than 7's present offerings despite 7 claiming to be the home of Football on TV.

I think he means that despite Eddie influencing Kerry and Foxtel to bid intitally $295 M over the previous rights deal Eddie is also partly to blame for Ch 7 & 10 matching the bid thereby handing the rights to 7 & 10

They don't call him Eddie everywhere for nothing......

PS How ME thinks Eddie had any say in Ch7 and 10 deciding to match the final bid is anyones guess?????
