what a morning!!

involved in a high government project getting built between queanbeyan (nsw) just outside canberra and a small township called bungendore. approximately 300 workers on site.
well at 6.30am on my way to the site it starts to rain (nothing new in that) then 2 kilometres down the kings highway sleet starts to fall on the windscreen (still nothing new in that) now 3 k'ms further down the road it is absolutely bucketting down with wait for it.......SNOW!!!!!
. so bad that we had to stop behind the traffic ahead. it continued to snow for 3 hours with about a foot and half coming down in that time.
so rang the site and they said don't worry about coming in cause we have been snowed out and those who have arrived early can't get out and we can't get in. so i have sat in my car since 6.30am watching the snow come down and it has taken police and ses people this long to dig cars out. once they had graded all the snow off where we were the police told us to turn around and go back towards canberra because the rest of the road won't be cleared until this afternoon.
oh well now i spend a day at home on THIS other work site
