5RPH I gotta say is an excellent Community radio station.
Time too dig in and donate and support this very good radio station
The station is having a radiothon taking donations over the phone.

The 5rph media coverage of South Australian sport is of the highest quality.

DB, Smithy, Paul Blandis and co do a terrific job with thier footy shows
GREYHOUNDS
Vaughan Gray does a very professional greyhound coverage
HARNESS RACING
Tony, DB, Scotty do a thorough and expert coverage of the trotting scene

There are other good programmes including page one news
Lets all support the station that supports South Aussie sport.

You could also always choose to supplament your SANFL club membership with an RPH / Lifefm membership also! That way it is continuing support rather than a one off.

Would it be worth us trying to raise as much as we can on here and having the one "SAFooty" donation made?

If you do organize an SA Footy collection would it be possible to do it using something like PayPal to make it easier for those of us that live overseas to contribute.

Definitely count me in. 5RPH and LifeFM are my only live link to SANFL. I complain endlessly about 5RPH commentary, sometimes it is pretty poor, as they drop too many Smithfield Clash Clangers, wrong calling players, (got me into some embarrassing posts on the Roost), but their comedy slogans are definitely PDK Highlights

The boys even gave me an hello last week, (hey Jimmy, nearly as famous as you mate), so I'm with Jas. If you do it using paypal, I will be happy to pump in some dosh.

If not, would be grateful if anyone has a link and I will donate directly.

Great idea Sojourner. I will look into that and drop them an email next week.

Other thing Im throwing up is putting discreet google ads on here and everytime we hit the $100 mark (US) we could donate it to a worthwhile charity such as RPH (or better webspace! ).

I think this idea is looking even better now. I can't afford to give vast amounts but when funds and other peoples constant breeding (ie bloody birthdays) permit I would happily throw a few dollars into a pot. As I said before, for us overseas types PayPal would be good, at least thats what I've used before.

I was leaning more towards the direction that Wedgie seemed to be heading...a pool of money from advertising/donations etc that could be shared between charities and site maintenance.
