$20,000 stolen from pokie venue
Article from: The Advertiser

June 18, 2007 12:00pm

Thieves have stolen about $20,000 in dollar coins from an Adelaide gaming venue, police say.
Thieves broke into the gaming room at the Arkaba Hotel in Glen Osmond in Adelaide's east overnight, a police spokeswoman said.

They grabbed a metal safe and stole the money - all in one dollar coins.

Imagine the look you'd get when you pay for everything in $1 coins for the next 2 years. Imagine the strength needed in your belt to keep your pants from falling down because of a heavy wallet. I'd be too scared to exchange the $1 coins at the bank for fear of getting caught. What would you do with 20,000 one dollar coins?

Eat and drink at will.

So you'd spend half the coins on a diet of potato crisps, mars bars and coca cola.

Be sure to save the other half to pay for the angioplasty surgery...

Get $1,000 converted to 10 cent pieces and lay a few bets with Joketon.

Drop $1,000 out the window on Hansen Rd and film the pandemonium for YouTube.

Charter a helicopter and spend a quarter at each of four SANFL games being played on the same afternoon.

Give $5,000 to 5RPH to upgrade their servers so geographically challenged SANFL diehards can log in from everywhere without overloading the system.

$10,000 to charities and to use when paying bills to state government entities.
