huh???? it is the elite level for women...……

Surely your not getting shitty that they didn't prefix it with stating they only meant for their gender.

It may be the top level for women but its anything but elite
You dont hear the AFL players calling themselves elite whereas they could

Elite

If they are top of the ladder then yes, they can be called elite.

I am elite at looking busier at work than I actually am.

While the use of the term elite is correct according to the dictionary, I would hope the girls have a little bit more awareness to understand they are a developing product, and hold off using these types of adjectives until the products had developed a little further.

With that said, I can also see from their side that constantly being put down while playing the game you love just because it isn't a completed product yet, would be frustrating, and using the term elite to describe it would be a satisfying move knowing it grates on those that don't support their cause.

Without speaking for the AFLW, I could 100% guarantee this is not the motivation for using elite.

Not on this definition: a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group or society.

C1 is the elite level of C Grade

Here I was thinking they had done the good thing and finally fixed up those crap boxes that fall apart
I worked out something was up when the bottle was rattling around in my Yeti coming down the stairs
I read somewhere there are more preservatives or sulphides in it as well.
From comparing them the new one has less sugar.
I see CUB use to brew it on licence but its now imported.

Pisses me orf. I live on the stuff.
Plus its the best hangover cure since orange Two Dogs
You can get hammered on red in the night and 2 of them for next days lunch fixes you up no problem.

*Update*
Not a screw top
I'm OK with the taste. MAYBE its a little less sweeter which is OK by me
Not OK that I get 25mls less for the same cost

I'll live with it and wont think twice about it in a week

One thing I found is its made by Heineken who also make Bulmers

Perhaps that's the AFL's fault for forcing an AFLW competition well and truly before it's ready and spending multi millions of $$ broadcasting a substandard competition at the expense of actually spending it on improving the quality of the game from the ground up - so it's worth the money being spent on it at the expense of regional/junior football (for boys AND girls)

Perhaps the AFL should've waited until it IS a completed product. I'm sure it's getting there but let's face it, part time footballers (and that's what the majority of them are) can't be classed as elite. It is elite by pure dictionary definition only.
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

I am actually all for the women’s competition
Truth be known the SAAFL saved it in this state before it became a thing
I have watched a lot of ADFLW games and loved the enthusiasm of the young players
They love playing as much as I did

What I don’t like is the push by the “elite competition” for salary parity and that’s what they’re pushing.

As I think FC is saying: it needs time (& I’ll freely concede she knows more about football than I do)
