must say I don't think ive been there, and if Super Dry is $9.90 for a pint, then I would hate to think what the imported gear would cost.........

I understand some places do charge slightly high prices, but they have an ambience and atmosphere about the place, and I just have a feeling the Walkers Arms perhaps lacks those.

and at $9.90 pint - im glad I do homebrew

Yeah went there for my wife's work chrissy show and thought the same.
Went to the bar and ordered 2 pints of cider and handed the chick a $20 note thinking ill be safe and then she says its $20.80, I almost fell over.

Is there any rule or law that says once you order a beverage you then have to purchase it regardless of the cost??

Fires in the Grampians/Halls Gap. Was only there last week for a short holiday. Beautiful part of our country, which again is being ravaged. The photos of HG are rather chilling.

agreed. I'm a regular visitor to the area and was staying in Stawell during the last major fire there back in around 06/07. that was scary enough!

This fire appears to be much bigger even than that one!

Was on the bus from Melbourne to Adelaide overnight and for parts of the trip you could just see an orange glow as far as you could see in that direction

After going over to Marysville as part of a rebuilding team after the Black Friday fires the level of devastation will live with me forever.

The place looked like it had been nuked and the impact on each of the team was full on.

I just hope that no one gets hurt (or no one else gets hurt)
