I know my kids have their phones glued to them, I text them a question and wait ages for a reply, they ask me a question and I get a solitary question mark for the next text I receive 3 minutes later if I hadn't replied.

I asked my lad at 7am as he stayed at his mum's last night "Will you be coming home or going back to mum's after footy training tonight?" I know once it hits 8:45am I wont get an answer until 3:15pm when I ring him, I bet I would've got a reply immediately if I asked him if he wants $50.

This.
With my daughter if I don't reply in 30 seconds I get the ? follow up.

"??"
"Is everything ok??"
"What's wrong??"

Yet I bet that your questions are irrelevant and don't require answering immediately, they're only to do with organizing dinner or making pick-ups more efficient.

Yep, as Norm on Cheers said - “women you can’t live with them... pass the beer nuts”.

I got home from my sons cricket before Christmas and was getting ready to go out, I was looking for my pants when the wife says "You looking for your light coloured pants?"
"Yeah, you seen em?"
"Yes, I thought you'd be wearing them so I washed them and they are ironed hanging up downstairs"
"Thank you my dear"
"Yep, what would you do without me" she added.
"Probably wank for a while but eventually I'll get back out there and amongst it" I thought would be a quirky reply.

One of us found it amusing.

People that don't have their dogs on a lead on bike paths, nearly ran straight over a large rat last night.

Possibly better than having the dog on a leash, thereby creating a tripwire!

Perhaps resolve the peeve to "people with dogs on bike paths".

Dry as a Nun's, go into a servo to get a Powerade, get back in the car, rip the top off to neck it and it's one of the ******* coconut water infused ones.

The drive through bottle-o would have been a better option.

It would have, yes, but I'm doing my best not to roll up to meetings with Pale ale on my breath.

its a shared path so I understand there are going to be people walking their dogs, and the ones that have leads are fine and almost all people grab a short lead on them to make sure I have plenty of room to pass, some dickheads let their dogs run free though 8)

Last night was a full lock up on my brakes, took about $10 of tread off my tyres, while trying to avoid the rat which was just staring at me, all while clipped into my pedals...FFS

I can go one better.

On the way to gridiron, I bought one green Maximus, and one orange Maximus. I cracked the green one, and drank it while getting ready and during warm ups.

I left the orange one in my bag, in the sun, in 30+ degree heat, for 3 hours while the game was being played.

Right after the game, I peeled off my soaked gear, whipped by wet hair out my face, wiping my brow with my forearm. I layed on the grass, and pulled my now warm orange Maximus from my bag.

Cracked it and took a big gulp.

Turns out Maximus decided to release an orange juice with pulp range. The shock, and taste of hot orange juice nearly made me projectile vomit. And the acidity wrecked havoc on the acid reflux I get after games.
