Apparently a great course designed by Nick Faldo.

Any others?

I'll ask my mate Danger.....

No it's not - I've played them both and the RACV is pretty ordinary compared to The Sands IMO (RACV did have a bloke driving a cart around with grog though).
You'll love 13th Beach, are you playing the Creek course or the Beach Course?

The weather was anything but superb! 1st 2 or 3 holes was awesome weather then the gale force winds came with the rain.

Course was in spectacular condition and the rough was left longer than it was last year. Lost many a ball today as they just disappeared!

Just got a phone call....I've got the B grade long drive too

Bit of an effort to claim that one.....the sheet of paper had blown away on the marker, found a empty ball box in my bag ripped it up and chucked my details on it knocked a 7 iron for my 2nd missed the eagle...tap in bird and dash across to the pro shop from the green to let them know!

13th Beach course Barwon Heads, Victoria = F**king awesome.

Using the words of the Great "Molly" Guys do yourself a favour and play this course!!!! I might be 16-17 Deep in a slab of Coronas (That I won) but any way absolutely amazing course. Yes when ever you play a good round you love the course but this course is awesome. Hands down the best fairways I've ever seen or played on. Was away with work at Port Augusta not long ago and the Greens there are the fairways at 13th beach. The greens are huge yet really challenging (I was on a par 3 green for 1 and ended up with a 5, My second shot was off the green!) Awesome balance of water, bunkers and trees and all perfectly placed to be in play regardless of the level of golfer. If I was to be a chick and piss and moan about something for the sake of it, Possible to many bunkers. (I was only in 2 all day)

On to my score, I felt I just played ok, Yet ended up with an 84 off the stick. Could've been so much better 2 par 5's was on the green for 3 ended with 2 pars (5's) but with that being said I shanked 2 drives both par 4's ended up with a par 4 on one and a bogey 5 on the other where I was just out of bounds and had to drop a shot. As I said above greens are as challenging as it gets, was on the dancefloor on the par 3, had a 30ft putt yet finished off the green with my second! Tough green, Very tough.

I'm currently off 14 and went 42 and 42 for 84 off the stick, 2 other players were off 16 (100- 46 and 44) and off 15 (109- 57 and 52) I won a carton of Corona and my fees paid tomorrow at Torquay 8)

Obviously playing Torquay Tomorrow here's hoping the day is as good as today. Probably a shit review to do the course justice but honestly guys the fairways alone are worth the trip unreal absolutely unbelievable carpet like. Apparently the Vic open has been played there the last 5-6 years, I can see why.

$94 a round but you get what you pay for.....

Torquay RACV Resort course, Victoria.

The resort itself was unreal, We got a full guided tour before we played this morning defiantly reminds me of the better resorts from overseas, Really nice. RAA members get a full subsidy on everything purchased which is obviously a good thing even including green fees 2 of us played 18 holes for $59 dollars.

Only 2 of us made the trip today after last nights antics, It started this morning at the 7 Eleven for Borocca, Gatorade, Panadol and really bad sausage rolls but it did the job. I started with Birdie, Par, Par, Eagle so was obviously very happy with the start, I found the front 9 like Nick Del Santo 'Very short', 2 par 5's I was on both greens for 2 (1 Eagle, 1 Birdie) Unfortunately I did find water Twice and went out in 40.

Stoped and had a couple of quiet ones after 9 holes to make us both feel better it didn't work!

The back 9 we crossed the road to the 'beach holes' and that's where things got a lot more difficult, Strong winds blowing straight from the beach and it made things very tough, Come home in 47  For a total of 87, Playing partner played far better than yesterday he is off 16 and went 42 and 46.

The course itself for me was just good with out being great, Playing partner liked it better than 13th Beach but for mine that's cause he was 100 yesterday and 88 today. Fine mine 13th beach is far better especially the 13th beach fairways. I will give credit to the RACV greens very nice but very very quick. RACV is a beautiful looking course but 13th beach IMO everyday of the week, Although RACV is great value for money tho.

Checked out the Sands in Torquay that is defiantly out next game, Looks awesome. $85 a round.

Thredbo Alpine Resort. Highest golf course in Australia, very unforgiving if you miss the fairways as is goes straight to bush scrub. Haven't swung the clubs for 3 years & it showed.
