Daily Golf - Where you are playing and how you go

Played Flaggy yesterday, Ive been in the worst form for 20 years, hitting a 107 at the Vines last month!

The pain continued on the first 8 holes, hitting a dreaded 10 on the par 5 8th....parred the 9th and stopped for a beer.

51 on the front 9

The went par, birdie, bogey (after putting for birdie), par, par to start the back 9, finally some of the old form returned! Then went downhill again to escape with a 48 on the back 9 , to scrape under the ton by one shot.

Just need to sort out my short game, Im actually pretty happy with the way Im striking the driver and iron's.

Going to start with a new putter.

You can't blame the conditions of the course, well atleast The Vines anyway.

Our Ambrose team finished with a nett 62 with our handicap of 13.
We weren't that bad, but just didn't capitalise on opportunities.
Winning team had a nett 51.25

I played the Vines in early Sept and was impressed with the improvements in the condition of the course, played it a month ago and while it was still good the greens were too fast.

Flaggy was in good nick and still the best of the Southern courses IMO.

Yes, the greens, especially on Saturday were lightning quick. However that is negated by better course management which I don't succeed at consistently.

Is it Flaggy or Black with the monster par 5?

Flaggies 18th is now a genuine 3 shot par 5, not sure the exact distance, would be close to 500m, the other 3 par 5's are getable in 2.

-5 yesterday for Par.
It all all fell apart on the 10th, par 3. On the green, still had a long putt. Hit a nice lag putt. But then my stance would've been on someone's line for the tap in, I was focused more on that then putting it in.
Missed the sitter and spat the dummy with myself.

The positive was for the front 9, I just played my 4hybrid off the tee and it was magnificent. Kept the ball in play, and got really nice distance

Playing at Renmark Boxing Day. Haven't played there in a long time. Looking forward to it!

Played Boxing Day at Renmark. Disappointed with the condition of parts of the front 9 and a lot of the bunkers around the course looked a bit shabby. Did the course cop a bit of a bashing in the storms 6 weeks back?

38pts
Front 9 was nothing like yesterday
Back 9 was quite good, like yesterday with 4 pars and a couple of missed sitters for par.

My GA before today was 19.1
I'm hoping I can get that to around 16 or better in the next 12 months.

Great Work MT_79 - I have been too damn busy to play any golf.
