First game this weekend since the knee recon, see how it goes
playing at riverside sunday morning!
taken the smart option in driving the course as I reckon walking 18 would make the knee a bit stiff!
have to wait and see though!
get on board the thunder train!!!

What time?

I saw Callum Ferguson teeing off last week and he has reported it being most beneficial to his recovery...

teed off at 8:30
started not to bad on front nine, driving was good and so was my irons
putter was horrible though
then back nine, got a few good drives but most other things went to shit
struggled to get out of a few sand traps, something im usually not to bad at, which was disapointing
sore today, not having played golf for almost 2-3 months now.
course was in good nick, first time Ive played it since they were doing the changes. didnt mind it

Played Lady Bay yesterday. Course in good nick, as was my driving.

Same cant be said for my putting which was just ordinary- no qualms with the greens, I was just reading breaks which werent there. Reckon if I had aimed straight at the hole on the majority of my putts I would have been 5 shots better.

Approach shots similarly struggled, bladed a couple of Sand Wedges and also sprayed a few low irons right.

Came in with a -3 in a par round which wasnt crash hot but only 2 off the winner- blowy conditions made it tough to score well.

Pretty pricy these days- $37.50

But still beats mowing the lawn at home! Next game in 2 weeks at Victor.

Played Loxton last weekend.

Fairways were in good nick, rough was fairly forgiving and the greens were nice and fast. A good course.

There are some massive greens on that course and like MT79 I have played there in wet and windy conditions and it was horrible. Couple that with the fact we had 4 places booked, my mate was a late withdrawl and the two other blokes hired a cart so I walked it alone..... :(

Back to Echunga last Sunday, one of my favorite courses. Got there at 6.55 for a 7.21 teeoff. Thought I'd arrived at the Masters, such was the crowd at that point  . Found out later it was a social club (and some of the attire was very social) who were teeing off at 7.30, so no worries for us.

Course in top order as always. The 2nd hole has been reconfigured now, so an easy par 3 rather than the original challenging par 4, but otherwise remains one of my favorite SA courses. Green fees up now from $15 to $20, but with the Entertainment 2 for 1 voucher, still very good value. Watch out for the rough at times...always a chuckle to see newbies head in there and rush out at the first sign of a rustle in there.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Had a PB 82 off the stick there when it was the old layout with the old "Honour Box" for payment.

Finally back out on the course on Monday, although not happy with the 7.35am timeslot after a solid weekend on the gas!

Oh well, hopefully can improve off the tee as the rest of the game isnt toooo rusty.

TTG should be in great condition, maybe slightly heavy and slowish greens!

Hey all, I was just wondering where everyone buys there gear from? Is there any little shops online or in person that have good sales or just good all around service? Alternatively are there any second hand/ used sites or stores people use?
