Yep. Been a few years since I'd done that. Was only from about 20 foot too. Left the first one well short then annihilated the second put about 10 foot past. By the time I tapped in I was rocking in the foetal position and my son was laughing his head off in the cart.

MatteeG wrote:Decent weather at Victor yesterday, not a drop of rain and bursts of sun.

Unfortunately my golf only had bursts of mediocre. 2 lost balls, a 4-putt, and many shots out of trees.

95 for a nett 80- my handicap continues to slide.

On the other side- the shot tracking at the Pat driving range (on course, not Drummond) is superb and worth your while. Took the kids last weekend.

Off to Victor Sunday.
Gentsome- apparently a mix of stableford ambrose

Stirling on Sunday with a group of mates, winner gets the Brown Jacket.

I shuddered when the current holder of the jacket booked Stirling as it an be soggy up there at the best of times, forecast looks good though so hopefully it will be alright. Used to play up there a lot when I was young, not a huge fan due to the lack of par 5's.

West Lakes 2 weekends ago was pretty ordinary, parred the 1st and then didn't register a par for the rest of the round, putter let me down big time, 45 putts for a 97 overall off the stick, didn't one putt any green.

Only highlight was putting a 4 iron within 2 metres of the pin on the par 3 175m 16th, which I proceeded to 3 putt for a bogey

Mornington Peninsula last weekend. Played Flinders on Friday, very picturesque right on the coastline. Some tee blocks were only a 5 iron from the waters edge. I reckon we played into the teeth of the wind for 12-13 holes. Course itself (whilst in good nick) was pretty straight forward with up & back fairways & lightening quick greens - 36 pts helped. Saturday we headed to St Andrew’s Beach, what a fantastic links course. It blew its arse off most of the round making some par 4’s impossible to make the green in 2 but the course was in superb condition. After 2 wipes on the 12th & 13th I managed to putt from the rough & hole out on the 14th for a birdie 3 (4 pts) and then went on a run of 4 consecutive 2 pointers giving me 31 pts and enough to win by 1. Having not played in over 6 months it shit a few of the others who play regularly right off. The market that was set had me as the rank outsider at 200/1 pre tournament  Also the St Andrew’s Brewery is a must visit, ripping joint - they’ve converted the old training facilities of the Freedman Bros & done a great job of it. Sunday we ventured to Mt Martha but only lasted 9 holes due to rain. Course seemed ok without overly impressing.
Back to work for a rest.

monthly medal

the driver was relatively consistent only once did i bring out the pull...
43 on the front 9 which included a 5 on the par 3 14th, but then a nice birdie on 16th.
then the back 9 started with a bogey 6, then a double, the worst drive of the day was costly. then on the 3rd a 6 on the par 3, the game was falling apart and then another poor drive led to a 7 on the par 5.
came back relatively good from there to not completely capitulate
88 for a net 72

genstsome today at Victor

surprisingly i held the pairing together.
80 off the stick for 43 stableford points which was equal highest individually and helped combined for 76 and a solid 3rd place.

definitely getting back to Victor in the near future, it had been 2 yrs since the last visit.

Worst golf for quite sometime today, 19 pts (yes 18 holes)

Stirling has dropped away significantly, its in pretty horrific condition, certainly only a summer course also.
