Daily Golf - Where you are playing and how you go

Played Flaggy, fairways are basically dead as they pour all available water into the greens, the dam is as low as Ive ever seen it. The greens are in great nick though. The bloody fake rubber snakes on the greens to keep the ducks off them scared the absolutely shit outta me until I realised they were fake

Handy 38pts today.
Mixed bag of 6 pars, birdie and a scrub!
Short game was pretty good today. Happy with some of the chips from around the greens to get up and down!

35 points today.
Left a few out there. The chipping wasnt as good.
3w still worked fairly nice off the tee.

Flaggy came up during our round today.
Currently have $1500 deals for 12 months.
So we are considering going there in September and you get recipirocal rights at Vines, blackwood, mt osmond, west lakes, TTG. So TTG might get used once. If we used them all up thats 13 of 28 saturdays taken care of.
My clients are having golf day at Flaggy in May just for fun. I think they are using up Ent Book vouchers. So im hoping I can get there. As bad as the course is, it couldn't be any worse than what we play on at the moment.
If its not Flaggy, than Compass at $1400 is well priced.

Hopefully we get the forecast rain this week and the Dam gets at least 1/3rd full from it, then they will be right.

Golf

Love it.

Monthly Medal.
A number of fairways had suffered with the rain and wash away areas.
Greens were quick. Our group, group ahead and those we saw around us hit good putts, but they were punished by rolling off the green from 6ft!!!!
So ended up with a 108 and it didnt feel that bad...
Off the tee was fine. 3w did a good job apart from 14 where my draw was a block and over the fence...
Best thing was the $12.50 scnhnitty after

On a morning where it rained, for all but 3 or so holes, and when many others had given up we went on, determined.
Golf was steady on a couple of rain flooded greens! When we played the 17th it was completely under water  you had too smash the ball. Was certainly interesting.
Ended up on 31pts.

We were very lucky in regard to the weather, normal tee of 6.53am Jesus it was cold but very little rain, couple of nips of Port fixed the coldness.

Golf actually went pretty well, went out with 18 points come in with 21, including a drop shot on 17 and 3 putted 18

39 points in pretty windy conditions I’ll take that. 10 mins after we finished it absolutely poured with rain

Down to 10. Lowest I’ve ever been. Hopefully not far off single figures it’s weird as it’s taken me that long to get here but I seriously can’t wait to actually see my handicap be single figures. May seem strange to some.

Very strange if you ask me.......

In effect we could only play 17 holes. The 17th was a writeoff for us.

Well played. It would be nice to see 9.9! If only for a week

Beautiful morning out for a walk. Nice n fresh.

Steady round for a 90. 46/44

Nothing horrendous, so that was pleasing. Tried a slightly different setup with being closer to the ball and more of a focus on cupping left wrist. I have a strong grip but thats wasted with poor arm set up.

Highlight was almost knocking in for 2 on 14th, but I only saw the end result as it was a blind shot. But if i get birdies on blind shots......ill have to shut me eyes in future

Monthly Medal round Saturday, Stroke rounds can f@@k right off!

Been hitting the ball real well lately, on the cusp of single figures. Started the front 9 really well, 39 off the bat 19 points 13 Putts and i'm pretty happy. 10th Tee playing partners says 'This is closest to pin hole' i reply 'In that case i'm hitting a full 7 Iron and going straight at the Pin', and that i did! Put in within a meter only to 2 putt and walk off with a par, but the closest to pin held up.

Finished with 86 off the stick Nett 75 with 29 Putts.

3 putted to win the snake back  , OFB twice on the back 9 and in the water once. F@@k stroke rounds

Had a hit at Lady Bay last week, love the challenge it provides, they have let the greens go a bit but still OK.

Woods, Hybrid and putter all going well, irons are shocking though, keep hitting the ground first, not sure what Im doing wrong, any suggestions? Tried moving the ball further forward int he stance but then started reaching for the ball and cut across the ball
