Pretty good!
Had a twilight 9 holes tonight, course in good nick, fairways a bit patchy, greens good but very tricky. Golf terrible

What's South Lakes like as a course? If we ever get around to buying this holiday house, I'm thinking of getting a membership down there and want to know if its any good...?Booney wrote:South Lakes at Goolwa on Friday afternoon, 40 km/h southerly.

Flat, wide fairways, nice but not over challenging (unless the winds up)
Of the other two down there, Victor is a good course & I really rate McCracken.

Always enjoyed Blackwood. Like all clubs they had a good increase in membership during Covid.Dutchy wrote:Got to Blackwood for a twilight round, never seen the course in better nick, in fact it wouldn't be far off a number of the top private courses in the western suburbs. Immaculate, the fairways are perfect and for a hills course its actually pretty flat. If you haven't been there for a while check it out.
