I probably had both the best and worst shots of the four of us for the day.

Thought I had the longest drive, got it with only around 5 groups to play that hole, but Dean Waugh pipped me.

Diss and I got two bottles of wine each for getting my ball inside the club pro’s ball on one of the par 3s.

Good day. Boon and his brother were great blokes

Today monthly medal.
87 for a 73.

Only really a couple poor shots.
On Par 3 11th....on the downswing decided to just caress the 5 wood and hit a popper that went 100m.
Then on 16 I went the otherway and tried to rip it....it went 50m....as I topped it horribly.

But overall the game was ok. Cant blame the weather.

The course looked a million bucks after the soaking rain during the week!

Pretty good. By memory tight fairways and sandy lies in the rough. Good greens.

Cheers. I rarely play, so may need to hit the beers and not worry about trying to play well.

The course is pretty good at the moment. I played penants there last week and it has improved a hell of a lot compared to what it was. Preferred lie too which will come in handy because there is a fair bit of kangaroo shit on the course but apart from that, it's pretty good. Greens are nice. All the Riverland clubs have good courses at the moment.

Well, the day got off to a pretty good start with the aforepictured golfer girl arriving at the same time as our party of 4 in tight, skin tight, white lycra. Excellent.

Registration, shirts, breakfast all go off without a hitch and we head to the chilly 6th to start the day. I duff two, benny duffs one, Diss launches one high and left. Ugly start with no real warm up and we're away. 5 bogeys to start the day before a birdie gives us some hope.

The group behind us ( they ended up -10 ) were up our clacker after 4 holes so with nobody behind them we let them play through after Diss sucks down some fresh oysters at the 9th and I hit a red as I'm yet to get a beer! Our first look at the drinks cart soon after on the 9th green ( 4th hole for us ) and two of them please. Make it 3, cheers.

Muddled our way through until we got to par 3 11th where you do your best to "beat the pro". Benny and Diss truly salute with a couple of 8 irons, we sink the putt to take another birdie. Benny and Diss win themselves a bottle of white and red each. Nice! Beers going well now, needed them to wash down the Bundy affogato from the 10th green. Things get sketchy from here.

We were getting warmed up by now, as noted by Golfer Girl who, being from Queensland, didn't particularly like 13° and wind at Mt Osmond. She joined us for the par 3 2nd, none of us played that one too well. We had a fluffy lie just off the edge, my brother noted he doesn't like it fluffy, she noted that a lazered vagina is smoother. Yeah, concentrate now.

Highlights were Diss's putt on the 3rd, past the hole and back in, mine on the 4th where the car was up from grabs if you managed a hole-in-one.

Little pissed now, somehow I put a 7 iron about 30ft short and knock it in with one that never looked like missing.

Some ordinary shots from us all, some good ones from us all, some shockers from us all.

Items of note - Benny stands on the wrong side of the ball and his sticks are all broken. Poor bloke should invest in some new ones. We all had a role to play in our 4+ for the day. All max handicappers who don't play often enough and it showed.

All have the potential to be under 20 handicappers if we played often enough. Great day, as those who have been before well know.

I had to skedaddle as my brother had selfishly organised to pick up his new work car Friday afternoon. We had our lunch and split before presentations so I'm not sure how that part of the day unfolded.

I got home to an empty house and 1/2 a bottle of Beam and 1.25 lt dry. Anyone know who won the footy Friday night?

Wished I got to ahem, play with golfer girl.

3 years in a no chocolates for the Boon team at any event. Is it time to draft up the Boon Footy Forum dream team? Who would be in such a team? Time for Spargo and the Pirate to step up? How about Dutchy, Jase, Bum Crack or Matt35.

Boon a non playing team captain, just drinking pi55 and sledging opposition teams?

I was thinking of it as a Jack Nicklaus - Ryder Cup type role.

Or perhaps a golfer girl - Rideher Cup deal.
