Being out on the road as a rep, I drive past various courses on a daily basis and they have pretty much been dead quiet with this heat. I do see the odd crazy group out there and think how could they !!??

I will be playing Echunga on Sunday with my social club and am loving the fact it is only supposed to be a forecast of 25, whoo hoo !!!

I played it for the very first time on Boxing Day late last year...

Was very impressed with the course and the price for the round at only $16 (plus had a 2 for 1 vouvher so only cost me and my mate $8 each)

Very much looking forward to playing there this weekend and will hopefully shoot under 3 figures (unlike last time's shocking 101 off the stick)

Will be better for the round last time having played there prior and knowing the layout a little better now.

It used to be an honour box. The course layout has changed since the building of the new clubhouse as where the club house is used to be the start of the back 9. The now 13th or 14th was the old 1st. Needless to say when it was an unmanned club house and honour box for payment the course was not so well funded and the quality suffered becaude of it. With the new club house and more $$ the course is great IMO.

Played Sandy Creek 2 weeks ago and that was in good nick too.
North Adelaide, South course (long course ?? I never remember...) was in great nick for a public course... Couldn't complain about the twilight fees of $15 after 2.30 either... Greens were so thick and slow though...Played Flagstaff late last year and never seen greens so fast !! In great nick and always fun to play..
I always enjoy Echunga too... nice and cheap and not a real long drive there..

Had a hit round the south course of North Adelaide yesterday morning, thought it was in pretty good condition, but that opinion will change if played there again in a couple of weeks after the Torrens Lakes debacle. They are only allowed to hand-water 3 times a week now, so the fairways won't get a lot of love, only the greens and tee-blocks. The greens need another a few mm taken off them and given a decent roll. Greens were quite soft and slow.

Murray Bridge Course is in top nick dutchy. The kikuyu always holds up well there all year round.
Well-priced too for such a well maintained track, and it's a fun course with a couple of par 4's you can drive the green.

Last time I played at Murray Bridge we only played 9 holes but the course was in good nick (was October though). I remember some idiot running past the windows of the clubhouse in the nud. Funny sight that was.

played the pat last sunday took just over 4 hrs. course was in ok condition considering its a public course and the heat we have been having. once all the trees have grown it will make it a nice course to play.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.
