Pretty good!

Had a twilight 9 holes tonight, course in good nick, fairways a bit patchy, greens good but very tricky. Golf terrible :(

saturday at Willunga

1st serious hit since mid november and gee whizz  it was ordinary.
just couldnt get anything going at all. :?
took an iron on the par 5 - 4th - and its one that has been draw/hooking - and it went dead straight - straight over the bushes and bike track
lost a ball that played pinball with the trees, should have easily spotted it, but again - just keep walking.
a few holes i was able to tee off while the others were putting out
ended up losing 3 balls i think, but 2 of them were the old but new intech balls i got from an auction years ago. if im gonna be this bad, i might just have to keep using them

What's South Lakes like as a course? If we ever get around to buying this holiday house, I'm thinking of getting a membership down there and want to know if its any good...?

Flat, wide fairways, nice but not over challenging (unless the winds up)
Of the other two down there, Victor is a good course & I really rate McCracken.

South lakes probably the cheapest down south.

Got to Blackwood for a twilight round, never seen the course in better nick, in fact it wouldn't be far off a number of the top private courses in the western suburbs. Immaculate, the fairways are perfect and for a hills course its actually pretty flat. If you haven't been there for a while check it out.

Always enjoyed Blackwood. Like all clubs they had a good increase in membership during Covid.

Whats the next course on your twilight tour?

Nice track Blackwood. The private course I played in Melbourne, Rosanna, reminded me very much of Blackwood.

I'm back to sunny Adelaide next weekend, and am looking forward to a hit with my lad, and a few of his mates. They have been playing a fair bit of golf recently, and by the sounds of it, all have improved. My lad shoots mid 90's most weeks now.

I anticipate an epic battle, as I have no doubt, son wants to beat me...... bring it on!

Sounds like Royal Oakbank is the venue of choice.
