Popped in after work just to have a gander.
Nothing really caught my eye.

Salesman asks me if I need a hand.

'Nah, just looking'

Then a minute later asks me what clubs I use etc... goes on to bag them etc...
And i just laughed and said mate im a hacker off 15.... and they have helped me reduce my handicap.

Then mentions some rubbish about lie angles and pats his fat belly as he says you have that to swing around.....
In my head im like.... mate im not as fat as you, but i am a fat **** and secondly i dont swing around it....

I went in there a few years ago and the Salesman was a knob and was so rude. Will never buy anything from there.
I was in store for a total of 6.75 minutes.

As for the sale....even after sale price you get cheaper elsewhere....

Lads, I need some advice/help.

I'm a once a year golfer who has had the same set of clubs for 15 years and every time I use them, my mates say have you got the adults version of them at home!
I'm 6'3 and whilst my clubs are adult size they do appear short compared to other taller people's clubs.

I'm looking to buy a second hand set in the near future and play a bit more but need to know if there is a size chart as such for height versus length of club?
I know arm length, being comfortable, etc will play a part in it but what length club should I be looking at for my height?

Cheers for any advice for this novice.

Nice.
What brand are they?
Not that it really matters as I just want the right length for now.

I’ll apply the SAFooty discount at the end of the transaction ;)

Good call!
As long as Carey can drop the clubs off and pick them up from my joint, I think we can make this work.

Oh and I’d really appreciate a cold 6 pack in the old glove compartment too when dropped off

Went in to the enfield store today and was really pleasantly surprised with the service I received, helpful with out being pushy.

We then got in to the conversation about clubs, my swing and fittings etc at which stage he recommends I get my lessons then buy then new clubs just in case my swing changes in anyway. Says he doesn't want to supply fitted clubs for them to turn out a waste of time. Recommended a bloke at North Adelaide he was his coach when playing, I've rang him and as he is a friend of Jeff's he is giving me worst case cost scenario of 5 x 1/2 hour lessons for around the $200 mark.

Start my first lesson in 2 weeks, looking forward to it.

Feck I missed that fitting day. Played with some Titleists while on holiday in the Goldy and they were fantastic.

What are you using MT?

Gonna start with a driver, may look at the Cobra F7 now the F8 has been released.

Was in the market for a new buggy. Did a fair bit of research, checked all the reviews and really liked the Bag Boy quad XL push cart.
Golf Box wanted $287, eBay $300, then Squizzy’s sent me a Boxing Day sale email - got it for $156

Picked up a Cobra King F7 Driver (stiff shaft*) from Golfbox for $248 . Ever so keen to give it a whack on a real course situation.

Wanna have a crack at those Cobra one length irons too. Reckon the long irons would be sweet as, but the short irons would take some getting used to.
