I am a BIG fan of Willunga. If they allowed a PAYG monthly fee (first year is required to be paid up front) I would be all up in their grill! Talking to a current member, and there are going to be a few (proposed) changes to the course over the next little while.

That is a little on the negative side no PAYG but I enjoyed the course when I played it a few years ago. Not that far from home and the rate is really competitive.

if The Vines can charge $1900 then in comparison I think Willunga is a bargain

may just write it off for tax.....staff morale

the vines is a complete ripoff for 1900. not a bad course but certainly not at that level.

is the club struggling a bit? super high memberships, smashing the scoopon deals etc?

Yeah I played there on Sunday. They seem to have a high number of levies on members as well to pay for water projects and the like. Not worth $2k a year.

Considering it is $1200 cheaper it is a real winner.

Speaking of staff morale, I did jury duty with a chick who actually had golf worked in to her work agreement. She gets a half to full day per week to actually go and play golf....not sure if she still has it now, but a fair deal none the less.

@matteeg, you know who I'm talking about

I noticed Mt Osmod are offering a 'Try Golf' membership for $870

Try Golf Membership is a 9 hole membership with playing rights Monday, Thursday, Friday, Tues pm, Wed afternoon (from 10 am w
omen) and Sundays after 11 am

Anyone know what the '9 hole' restriction means? Could you just play 2x 9hole rounds in a day? ;)

Try golf is usually aimed at beginners. Throw in a couple of coaching lessons and you are restricted to 9 holes per day. Not sure how they police that but there you go.

that is extremely tempting given it is only 25 mins from home and around 15 minutes from work, so the sneaky 9 before work or 4pm friday knockoff are both not out of the question.

keep us posted closer to october carey!
