recorded and watched it this morning.

Was awesome watching Day scrap for everything. Wasn't having a great day, and could have lost the plot, but whenever he had a bad hole his next one was almost always good.

Should win from here

Day making up some average shots then following them up with some gems to save him, but still holding a 3 shot lead.

So long as Day lands safely on the 17th green, he wins.

Jason Day picked up his second wire-to-wire victory of the year, winning THE PLAYERS Championship by four shots over Kevin Chappell for his 10th PGA TOUR title.

Watching the last few holes this morning, Day was super steady when he needed to be. It appeared he was playing within himself at times and hitting into the fat part of the greens, rather than attacking all the pins, With a 4 shot lead, he didn't need to. His play perhaps best summed up by a 308yard 2 iron on the 18th tee. I guess if you can hit a 2 iron (not an easy club to hit) that far - roughly 270 meters you can leave the driver in the bag! Apparently Day prefers to hit the 2 iron rather than his 3 wood. Whatever he gets the job done.

The way Day closed out the championship this weekend, will make him a very firm favourite for the US Open , which begins in a little over a month.

Yep. Everyone loves him. He doesn't polarise people like other sportspeople have done.
Humble winner and despite his success his feet are well and truly grounded.

I caught part of an interview he did prior to this tournament. He has some very clear goals that he wants to achieve. Clearly working damn hard to get them too. He mentioned he wanted to win the Players tournament, as he thought a win here would go a long way to getting him inducted into the hall of fame. His career has a long, long way to go. Keep doing what he is doing & you would have to think he will add several more majors to the CV... including a green jacket. To me his game has Augusta written all over it. I reckon he will develop further in the next 5 years such that all 4 majors, with there at times subtle (and not so subtle) differences, will all be there for the taking. Hall of Fame..... You'd have to think so...

2nd most PGA Tour wins by a player under 30 years old. Could well be the leader of that group by the end of this season.

No.... 308 YARDS.... Is a long way, convert that to metres, roughly subtract 10% and its around 270 Metres.... Maybe a little downhill, maybe a little breeze assisted... Not sure, but that's definitely what was said on the coverage.

When I was watching, he stroked up to a par 5, hit his 3w 330, then took an 8 iron and hit it 210 to the green in two.

The fairways were very hard apparently
