2021-22 NBL Season + Off-season news

The new NBL season starts this Friday night with a double-header Brisbane at Tasmania followed by Adelaide at Perth live from 7pm on ESPN & Kayo. Every game this season will be broadcast live on ESPN & Kayo and two games every Sunday will also air on 10 Peach & 10 Play.

Due to the fluid Covid situation the revised season schedule has only been announced for the first six rounds with the rest of the schedule to be released in due course as state border decisions are made.

To be fair Perth were missing their third import Frazier along with Blanchfield, Norton and effectively Hodgson.

With Perth missing most of their starting lineup, Sixers should've won that game comfortably.

Very handy we held the Breakers to 26 points in that second half, admittedly they had a few big names out.

Dusty Hannahs is starting find his groove too and Sixers back to 2-2 now.

The NZ Breakers have signed import Chasson Randle as a temporary injury replacement for Peyton Siva who could be out for up to 8 weeks with a hamstring injury. He's a 6'2" PG who has previously played in the NBA with Philadelphia, New York, Washington, Golden State and the Orlando Magic last season.

The Sydney Kings have announced that F/C Jordan Hunter will be out for the season. He hadn't played a game yet due to a finger fracture and then nearing his return sustained a foot fracture at training putting him out for four months.

Also the 36ers have announced that Filipino recruit Kai Sotto will make his NBL debut in the Sixers game at Cairns tomorrow night.
