Yeah, probably also shows how much the Clippers brand has grown in the last few years, doubt you would of got half that ammount a couple of years ago for them.
Is there any realistic chance of them becoming top dog in LA one day?
What % of the LA market would they have?

They're trendy at the moment, that's for sure. I can't see them overtaking the Lakers though as the big brand in LA. More likely they return to being ordinary whenever Chris Paul retires/leaves and they go back to being on the nose. If they do manage to win some championships in and after the Paul era, maybe they can close the gap to a 60:40 split. Now, I'd imagine it's 75:25.

Nice. NBA Finals prediction (now with the 2-2-1-1-1 format):

San Antonio vs Miami (Heat 4-2)

Game 1 starts today in San Antonio.. Can the Spurs right their wrongs from last year and go one step further?

This is the first time since '98 that two sides have faced off in a finals rematch.

Tim Duncan obviously the key for the Spurs, expecting big things from him..

SPURS lead 26-20 end of the 1st.

Lebron played the full first quarter for 3/7 while Ginobili had a huge impact scoring 9 points, 3 asissts and 2 rebounds.

Big last quarter by the Spurs gets them home to lead the series 1-0.

Lebron taken off in the last with leg cramps.

Ruined a great game 1 actually. For a while there it looked like Miami were going to take a commanding lead but Spurs kept themselves in it, then when LeBron left the floor they dominated. Apparantly it was stinking hot with the air conditioning not working. Probably a good thing for the spurs all told, if Miami had claimed game 1 it might have been too great a blow.

Heat win Game 2 98-96. Series tied 1-1.

LeBron was massive.

Spurs had their chances to steal it late as well :(

LeBron was incredible, which has debate whether anyone has ever had such an individual influence on games over so many facets

SPURS win game 3 111-92.

Massive first half which included a 41 point 1st quarter, and led Kawhi Leonard who scored a career high 29 points.

They shot an NBA Finals record 75.8% in the first half. That is simply ridiculous. Miami didn't shoot that badly either.

Calm down!! Spurs were in pretty well the same position last year before it all went pear shaped :(

Lead by 24pts at 3/4 time though, 3-1 lead looks certain and a home final next game! Definitely looking good! 8)

Kawhi Leonard backing up his big game the other day with another superb all round performance so far.

LeBron - love him or hate him, you have to respect the blokes ability! 28 points so far (more than half their score) and 7 rebounds he just continues to lift his side.

SPURS win 107-86

Big win to lead series 3-1. Well managed by Popovich with good minutes for players. Bosh and Lebron have played a large % of game time in each match, will that have a bearing in the next game?

1 game away from the championship.

Aussies Patty Mills and Aron Baynes could become the 1st aussies in over a decade to win a NBA title and join Luc Longley and Andrew Gaze as the only aussies to achieve the feat.

I thought the Heat would win but love to see Patty & Baynes get championship rings.

Huge offseason for Patty with both the World Cup (and Baynes) and free agency. He'll get better offers from scrub teams than the Spurs so will be interesting to see what he does.
