The irony being at 5'6" he would probably be too short to play AFL but playing basketball against 7 footers no problem :lol:

So happy for Tasmania and the JackJumpers I thought they had a real shot to win it this season after adding Deng & Drmic but thought little Jordon Crawford might get exploited by other teams. As cold as he was earlier in the playoffs you would think the JJ's will try and bring him back next season. He's going to be in demand he lead the Turkish league in scoring last season too.

Also the NBL have announced that NBA Champion and popular NBA TV commentator Kenny Smith has been appointed ambassador of the Next Stars program in the US. Smith will have an active role in recruiting, mentoring and developing Next Stars players and he will also become a part-owner of an NBL expansion team in the future.

The Brisbane Bullets have announced they've signed veteran guard Mitch Norton to a 2 year contract extension putting him under contract until 2027. Also the Bullets have picked up their options on the contracts of Tyrell Harrison and Isaac White for next season plus in a bit of a surprise they've also picked up the mutual option on import Casey Prather for next season.

Opening day of free-agency today which saw SE Melbourne Phoenix announce the signing of Nathan Sobey to a 2 year deal.

Also the Brisbane Bullets have signed South Sudanese-Aussie Deng Adel to a one-year deal. He played in France last season and previously played for the Illawarra Hawks and also with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA.

The Sydney Kings have announced the signing of local Tyler Robertson to a 3 year deal. He's a 6'6" swingman who played his college ball at the University of Portland.
