Love the way Joey gave it to Randle at the break and instead of being precious Randle took it on the chin and took his game to another level.

That spin move,

As I said on FB Jerome Randle is the best sportsman in town. Unlike the rest of our local sporting teams this bloke when under the pump goes to the next level. That level is easily the best player in the comp.

They double and triple teamed him most of the second half and still scored 21 points

With Randle playing like this surely theres no way we'll keep him? Melbourne don't mind shooting the 3 ball do they? thought we were going to be in trouble when they were knocking them down and there lead got out to 10 at one stage.

The general consensus is that he is very much enjoying the lifestyle here in Adelaide, and his family are enjoying it here, too.

I think we will keep him if he doesn't force his way onto an NBA roster.

What are others thoughts?

Imo i reckon he'll struggle for an NBA spot his height being the main issue. majority of NBA PG are as fast as him. I was thinking of him more heading somewhere in Europe. My god he's exciting to watch though, please re-sign :prayer:

I don't think Randle's NBA material he would get exploited in that league at 5'9" and as ordinary defensively as he is but then again Nate Robinson lasted a long time in the NBA. Just don't see it but no doubt clubs in Europe would be really interested as well as other NBL teams.

Good to see Ebi Ere looking like a basketball player again too these past couple of games leading into the home stretch.

As he said the other day, it's not all about money, his family lifestyle is first thought now

Not necessarily lets say $350K a year in Russia in sub-zero temperatures, snowing every time you step outside, crime and hardly anyone speaks English versus say $200K maybe $250K in sunny Adelaide, everyone speaks English no guns family safe. If you're single Russia might be the go but when you've got a wife and children to think of Adelaide might make more sense.

That was a good game last night just watched the replay on Gem, I knew Cairns won but could never see where it was going to come from with NZ leading all game full credit to Torrey Craig for those four clutch free throws.

Thanks Townsville & Cairns!

This is music to the ears of us 36ers fans.

‘‘To be honest, he’s the best coach I ever had in my career and you can quote me on that,’’ Randle told the nbl.com podcast.

‘‘Just being an X’s and O’s coach doesn’t make you the best coach ever.

‘‘I think if you can have that great relationship with your players and have an open door policy with your players, I think that’s more important than X’s and O’s.

‘‘If you can get the best out of them and make them understand that this is a game and you just need to go out there and play free.’’

“I’m not too fond of Europe,” he said.

“I don’t feel they have the type of coaching skills Joey Wright has. They change your game a little bit.

“I’ve played overseas and I wasn’t allowed to do the things I’m allowed to here.

“Coach Joey is a great coach and he knows how to get the best out of his players.”

Randle is leading the NBL in scoring at 24.6 points per game, and is second in assists.

How good is that!

Surely with the fact we have extended Joey's contract, we are a good chance to keep Jerome.

He's the sort of bloke you can build a franchise around. The Sixers could make a lot of money if he hangs around and he's still got plenty of years in the tank.
