I wonder what Ayinde Ubaka thinks of the signing? ;)

Is it just me having sour grapes with him not having signed with the sixers or is it a bit S*** on mills' behalf. I woulda thought being from Adelaide and coming off a healthy NBA contract he might have wanted to help the state of basketball in south Australia. His prescence would not only have great impact on our below par on field performance in recent seasons aswell as boost crowd attendances

I must admit I did think if he was going to sign with any team in the NBL I thought it would've been the 36ers, due to all his connections with the state (his mother lives here, he's a diehard Crows fan, he has a deal worked out with the 36ers where he buys season tickets for underpriviledged kids). Don't think he was born here though.

Might've been a bit of a money grab on Mills' behalf with the "interesting" arrangements Tigers owner Seamus McPeake has been rumoured to come up with in the past. The thing is though if he really wanted to go for the money he could've made a fair bit more in Europe so looks like he's decided to play in the NBL and maybe then try and get the best possible deal he could.

It seems the unlucky player at the Tigers will be club veteran Daryl Corletto who will be "deactivated" from the roster until/if Mills departs back to the NBA.

Also looks as if the Taipans have signed their second import in Andrew Warren straight out of college from Bradley University.

Very disappointing news about Mills, I guess coming from Canberra he was free to go anywhere but the obvious connection back to SA would have been nice to restore. Hopefully Marty Clarke knows how to deal with him after his time at the AIS.

Melbourne might have stolen Patty so we will have Bogut thanks....

Bogut now on Sixers radar in lock-out wake

With these boys hitting the floor it would be sell outs galore until the lockout is over

First half wasn't much but the Boomers fired up in the second half for a strong win. Newley's tip jam off his own missed 3 and big block were the highlights of the game for mine.

Australia 91 (Mills 20, Worthington 13, Maric 11, Nielsen 10) def New Zealand 78 (Penney 30, Vukona 18)

Australia lead the series 1-0

Good to see Mark Dickel is still the annoying little prat he was back in his Victoria Titans days in the NBL, copping 2x T's and being ejected for his part in instigating 2 scuffles. Dickel by name............... ;)
