It's good they're aiming high and talking about winning a medal but they have a snowball's chance in hell of getting that bronze. To even have a realistic chance we needed a perfect lead up. That means no Dante Exum tearing his ACL 12 months before the games, no Andrew Bogut knee injury 2 months before the games and no Ben Simmons deciding to pike out.

Just hope they give a good account of themselves with no blow out losses other than against the USA.

Awesome win! I got to about 3am they were showing hockey instead of the basketball on 7TWO so set the timer and went bed and then saw the second half this morning. I think it was a 3 point game at the start of the 3rd and then saw perhaps the best performance I've ever seen from a Boomers team.

To absolutely tear apart a very good French team with superb back cuts and ball movement really sets us up for a big challenge against Serbia next game. Bogut was outstanding played like a young fella again, Mills was good too and Delly with 10 assists.

Australia 87 (Mills 21, Bogut 18, Baynes 14) def France 66 (Parker 18, Gelabale 13)

Huge bonus with the 21 point win great for points differential if tied with another team at the end of group stage play.

Another good win over the Serbs. Delly with a huge game = 23 points, 13 assists and 0 turnovers. Just get through the game against the USA with no injuries, keep the margin respectable then take care of business against Venezuela and China and we're looking good.

Another huge win! We would've probably expected to go into Thursday morning's game against the USA with an 0-2 record instead we go in 2-0 with our tails up the best start I've seen us make at an Olympic Games before. We're playing sensational basketball and who knows we might even keep the loss to single figures. I think the closest we've ever come against the USA is a 10 point loss.

Australia 95 (Mills 26, Dellavedova 23, Baynes 10, Ingles 10) def Serbia 80 (Raduljica 25, Teodosic 17, Bogdanovic 12)

If we take care of business against China & Venezuela and the USA don't lose to France or Serbia we will finish 2nd in our group and avoid meeting the US again until the Gold Medal Game if we get there of course.
