The positive PR of the first ever female head coach of an NBL team would be good too.

Female or not she would be great for the role.
Anyone would be better than Ninnis

If you think Erin could go into head NBL coach straight away you're kidding...
no doubt could do it but would need a few years in the system first.

I thought that part was obvious ;)
I was more pointing to the fact a female could do the job just as well in this instance.

Erin will probably coach Port in the AFLW first you would think

They should have won after hitting the lead late but gave up 3-4 easy baskets straight after that.
Very poor defensively.
On a positive though our offence was very good.

5:00PM Tasmanian Jackies v South East Melbourne
7:00PM Sydney Kings v Illawarra

On a personal note i will tape both games and watch them if possible late Xmas evening or early on Boxing Day

QUESTION
From a players prospective is it right to make the players play on xmas day ?

I think it is fine as they need to generate revenue in order to be paid as professional athletes.

I am not a believer in having Public Holidays that are tied to religion or horse races

It might seem unfair on the surface as it's unique to Australian sport but in the USA they've been playing NBA games on X-mas Day for a long time.

Good win for the 36ers against the Bullets today too.

Im 50/50 about playing on Xmas day

The basketball posters on the NBL do a good job with results and player updates
Keep up the good work

The Melb United v Perth Wildcat game was a classic match- going to extra time- before MU won
Brendan Fevola looks like he likes his NBL
I think MU are deserved favs to win the title

Congratulations for Scott Ninnis on his first win as the new coach
A real xmas present, even more so as its his 58th birthday on xmas day !

Took my 6yo to the Sixers game on Sunday, first NBL game I've attended since the demise of the Giants back in 2004. An enjoyable afternoon, and the AEC works well as a venue (although perhaps lacks some of the history that the Powerhouse had spotted around such as old team photos and honour boards etc). They could probably turn the nightclub music down a notch though

The game itself was a fairly entertaining one, especially for two pretty mediocre teams.

Perth beat the 36ers 100-82.

Also former Perth Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson has signed with the Milwaukee Bucks as an assistant coach.

Agreed and despite Cotton's poor start to the season he's probably the front runner for MVP. It's amazing that he's still playing at such a high level after eight years in the league.

Bryce Cotton

First 10 games: 16.5 ppg @ 36% FG (27.1% 3p)

Last 11 games: 25.8 ppg @ 43.2% FG (37.3% 3p)

On the 36ers I don't feel very confident about today's game in the Gong, with the way the Hawks have been playing under Tatum's dad I think a beatdown could be on the cards. I really hope not but that Perth game looked like some of our guys are starting to put the cue in the rack.
