Huge effort by the 36ers tonight to only lose to the Wildcats by 3 points in Perth without Gibson & Frye.

DJ with 28 for the Sixers and James Ennis with 25 for Perth.

Hopefully Ervin learns how to pass to a team mate when he is no chance of getting a miracle heave at the basket to fall. His selfishness cost us the game the other night.

He did try to do too much on his own late in the game Friday night and I bet Joey got into him about it. I'd say in Ervin's defence he was the man on both of his previous NBL teams but here the 36ers have a lot of weapons and he needs to be a bit more of a facilitator. I think he will be able to balance that out more as the season goes on.

All up I thought that was a great effort by the 36ers on Friday night with Gibson & Frye out and Schenscher still working back up against last year's grand finalist, on their court with 10,000 fans and the pre-season MVP and boom recruit in James Ennis. I thought it would be a 15+ point loss.

You're not the only one!

Some of Ennis' dunks were nuts especially on that last one, the Wildcats bench did the right thing getting him out of the game as he looked like he might seriously injure himself. Such an explosive leaper and a good win by the Wildcats.

Earlier tonight I was watching the stream of the Crocs/Breakers game and Kerron Johnson hit a 3 at the half-time buzzer almost from the three point line of the other end! Some pretty good highlights only two games into the weekend.

A shock upset too by the Crocs beat NZ by 10 points
