With Corey Webster's possible future in the NBA the NZ Breakers have announced they've signed veteran kiwi guard Everard Bartlett. He just played for Ballarat in the SEABL and the Tall Blacks in the Oceania championship against the Boomers and plays for Hawke's Bay in the NZ league. Bartlett is also a former development player of the Breakers but never played for them and has previously played in the NBL with the 36ers and Wildcats.

Live stream of the Kings vs Wildcats pre-season game in Moss Vale about to start:

Not a bad game to watch good standard for a pre-season game Sydney won 89-76. For the Kings Marcus Thornton looked good with 24 points and Josh Childress was as efficient as ever with 20 and for the Wildcats Shawn Redhage had 18 and Casey Prather 16. Perth have to be concerned with Damian Martin leaving the game late with what appeared to be another calf strain and Nathan Jawai missing all seven of his field goal attempts.

In a big coup for the NBL Melbourne United today announced they've signed NBA veteran Hakim Warrick as their replacement import for Ekene Ibekwe. The 6'9" PF has played 8 years in the NBA with six different teams but was at his best earlier in his career with the Memphis Grizzlies when he averaged more than 10ppg for four straight seasons. He played in the NBA from 2005-2013 and has career averages of 9.4ppg, 4.0rpg shooting 49% from the field and has most recently been playing in Turkey. His former Phoenix Suns teammate Josh Childress played a large part in selling him on coming to play in the NBL.

In the first game tonight Melbourne United defeated the Illawarra Hawks 106-99 with import Stephen Holt lighting it up for United with 27 points on 7/9 3pt shooting plus Chris Goulding had 17 and Daniel Kickert 15. Also earlier today Melbourne United announced they've signed NBL journeyman Brad Hill as injury cover for David Barlow who might not play this season. Hill played tonight and was with the Hawks last season
