Great news for Joey & Gaze

Haven't heard much on Randle at all other than what Brodlach mentioned above. If what Randle is asking for is true it would take a massive sponsorship deal to get it done. He was on about $300K last season and supposedly wants $800K to come back next season. Good luck with that.

thats a shame, loved watching him play :(

It might've been a touch over but that was the talk around $300k which put him in the Top 3 highest paid players in the league last season.

Only David Andersen & Chris Goulding at Melb United were supposedly on more.

The NBL is again sending an All-Star team to China this year for a three game series against the Chinese national team starting next month.

One name stands out in the squad.

Mitch McCarron, Cairns Taipans
Lucas Walker, Perth Wildcats
Jesse Wagstaff, Perth Wildcats
Mitch Norton, Illawarra Hawks
Nick Kay, Illawarra Hawks
Todd Blanchfield, Sydney Kings
Daniel Kickert, Brisbane Bullets
Tom Jervis, Brisbane Bullets
Jeremy Kendle, Brisbane Bullets
Jerome Randle, Adelaide 36ers
David Barlow, Melbourne United

Head Coach: Rob Beveridge (Illawarra Hawks)
Assistant Coach: Mick Downer (Brisbane Bullets)

This series is being played at the same time as the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas so looks like there isn't much NBA interest in Randle and he probably asked to be included to showcase himself in China hoping for a big offer.

Also Melbourne United have announced they've signed Daniel Dillon a 6'3" guard who hasn't played in the NBL since 2012 and spent the past five years playing in Romania, Poland and last season in Japan. He's currently playing for Kilsyth in the SEABL.

He's not NBA standard unfortunately. Very good player but too limited defensively for the NBA. Be interesting to see where ferguson gets drafted tomorrow. A lot of varying reports from pick 13 to 27/28. I know he wanted to get paid but I think if he went to college he would've been higher.

Bruce Bolden's son Jonah is a good chance to get drafted tomorrow probably the only Aussie who might.

I don't have Foxtel but there was a Terrance Ferguson doco called 'Livin' Fearless' about his season in the NBL screening on ESPN tonight and being repeated tomorrow morning.

Also in some unfortunate news new Melbourne United signing Daniel Dillon has done his achilles in a SEABL game which will see him out injured for 6-8 months.
