Overnight the Boomers had a good win over China to advance to the Semi-Finals of the Asia Cup where we will now play New Zealand live on Fox at 1am Sunday morning.

Australia 97 (Cadee 20, McCarron 17, Creek 16, Kickert 16) def China 71 (G. Li 19, Guo 13, Han 11)

Also last night in NBL pre-season games a Sydney Kings invitational team beat American University 88-67. For the Kings Isaac Humphries scored 23 and for the Eagles Sa'eed Nelson scored 19 and the University of Wisconsin beat a NZ Breakers select team 87-53 in Tauranga.

In an NBL pre-season game last night touring Texas University beat the Cairns Taipans 71-69. For the Longhorns Dylan Osetkowski scored 15 and for the Taipans Michael Carrera scored 17.

Also I put up the incorrect time the Boomers Asia Cup SF against NZ is actually on at 1am tonight/Sunday morning.

The Boomers have advanced to the final of the Asia Cup with a big win overnight against NZ 106-79 and we now play Iran in the gold medal game 3:30am Monday morning.

Australia 106 (Hodgson 15, Cadee 13, Creek 13, Kickert 13, Norton 12, Kay 11) def New Zealand 79 (Te Rangi 15, Ili 14, Smith-Milner 13, Hunter 10)

Also Melbourne United had a good win over Wisconsin this afternoon in a very entertaining game 90-89 in Casey. For United Tai Wesley scored 23 and Chris Goulding had 15 and for the Badgers D'Mitrik Trice the younger brother of Bullets import Travis scored 19 and Ethan Happ & Kobe King each scored 16.

Overnight the Boomers easily accounted for Iran in the Asia Cup final winning the gold medal game 79-56.

Tonight in NBL pre-season games the Illawarra Hawks beat Texas University 88-60 in Alexandria. Tim Coenraad scored 30 and AJ Ogilvy added 20 for the Hawks.

Big news for Melbourne United tonight announcing they've re-signed star import Casper Ware which completes their star studded roster for this season.

Also tonight in the last of the games against touring US colleges Wisconsin defeated a Sydney Kings invitational team 83-71 in Bankstown. For the Badgers Brad Davison scored 23 , D'Mitrik Price scored 16 and Ethan Happ added 15 and for the Kings team Adam Thoseby scored 24 and Dane Pineau chipped in with 11 points.

The NZ Breakers have announced they've completed their roster with the signing of forward Jordan Ngatai who spent time with the team last season and just played for the Tall Blacks in the FIBA Asia Cup along with Wellington in the NZ league.

Some bad news for the Perth Wildcats with new import Devondrick Walker fracturing his foot in training and the prognosis is it would put him out for most of the upcoming season so the team have begun looking for a replacement.

The Sydney Kings have completed their roster with the signing Amritpal Singh a 7'0" centre who has been playing in India and previously played in Japan and is currently the captain of the Indian national team. He also becomes the first Indian born player to be signed to an NBL roster.

The 36ers had a good win in their first pre-season game last night beating the Perth Wildcats 99-91 in Bunbury. For the Sixers Anthony Drmic scored 22, Daniel Johnson had 20 and Nathan Sobey 16 and for the Wildcats Angus Brandt had 22, Greg Hire 17 and Matt Knight 16.

In the second of two pre-season games in WA the 36ers today lost to Perth Wildcats 81-73 in Margaret River. For the Wildcats Jesse Wagstaff scored 17 and Angus Brandt scored 15 and for the Sixers Daniel Johnson had 14 and Anthony Drmic 13.

Also last night the Brisbane Bullets beat the Cairns Taipans 84-76 in Rockhampton.

The Perth Wildcats have announced the signing of new import J.P. Tokoto a 6'7" SF who is the replacement for injured Devondrick Walker. Tokoto was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2015 and has played the last two seasons in the D-League and was a teammate of Walker's on the Utah Jazz Summer League team in July.

The NBL Blitz started tonight in Traralgon with Melbourne United beating the Illawarra Hawks 99-83 in the first game. For United Kyle Adnam scored 24 and Tai Wesley had 19 and for the Hawks Mitch Norton had 16 and Demitrius Conger 14.

In the second game the NZ Breakers defeated the Cairns Taipans 77-75. For the Breakers Tom Abercrombie scored 21 and for the Taipans Mitch McCarron had 21 points & 11 rebounds.

The 36ers play their opening game tomorrow evening against Perth.

Day 2 of the NBL Blitz tonight and the 36ers beat the Perth Wildcats 96-90. For the Sixers Ramone Moore scored 20 and Mitch Creek & Ronald Roberts each scored 16 and for the Cats Lucas Walker scored 17, Greg Hire 16 and Clint Steindl 15.

In the other game tonight the Brisbane Bullets defeated the Sydney Kings 90-73. For the Bullets Daniel Kickert scored 23 and Travis Trice added 16 and for the Kings Jason Cadee had 16 and Dane Pineau scored 10.

For the Bullets Daniel Kickert had 21 and Stephen Holt and Mitch Young each scored 14 and for the Sixers Matt Hodgson had 17 and Brendan Teys 15.

In the third game the Sydney Kings defeated Melbourne United 105-99. For the Kings Perry Ellis scored 20 and Brad Newley had 19 and for United Tai Wesley scored 27 and Chris Goulding 20. In the fourth and final game the Perth Wildcats beat the NZ Breakers 80-72 with Lucas Walker continuing his stellar pre-season form with 28 points & 10 boards for the Wildcats and Kirk Penney led the Breakers with 16.

Day 4 and final day of the NBL Blitz today with all four games played at various venues around Melbourne. First up the NZ Breakers beat the 36ers 84-72 in Mill Park. For the Breakers Tom Abercrombie scored 15 and DJ Newbill had 14 and for the Sixers Daniel Johnson scored 18. The Illawarra Hawks beat the Sydney Kings 96-80 in Kilsyth and for the Hawks Demitrius Conger scored 21 and AJ Ogilvy scored 19 and for the Kings Perry Ellis and Travis Leslie each scored 20.

Melbourne United beat the Perth Wildcats 93-67 in Wantirna South and for United Tai Wesley scored 18 and Josh Boone 17 and for the Wildcats Dexter Kernich-Drew scored 26 and Lucas Walker added 13. Lastly the Cairns Taipans beat the Brisbane Bullets 102-90 in Werribee.

Melbourne United were crowned winners of the Loggins-Bruton Cup and the Bullets Travis Trice won the Ray Borner Medal for tournament MVP.

Former 36er & league MVP Jerome Randle has gone back to Turkey on a lucrative 2 year deal.

JEROME Randle, the reigning NBL MVP, has signed with Turkish club Bahçeşehir, sources told foxsports.com.au.

Randle’s deal is ‘just shy of $US1 million net’ over two years, sources said, with the 30-year-old set to join his new team on Wednesday (AEST).

Not sure if its been mentioned yet, but in October espn are showing the nbl v nba team games.
gozu prob has more details but I think the melb game is like October 3 at 6am or so?
Sydney game might be around 12?

I haven't looked into it yet I don't have Foxtel but was going to find out the times anyway to post on the new season thread after getting through the rest of the pre-season games which end late next week I think.
