Philippines fouling out on purpose to end the game

Really started when Kickert retaliated with an elbow

There will obviously be a pretty big fall out from this game, that footage was disgraceful by the Filipinos.

Australia 89 (Goulding 20, Kickert 12) def Philippines 53 (Blatche 12, Fajado 10)

The forearm/elbow was shithouse, but to clear your bench and start king hitting blokes because of it reeks of pre-meditated intention as soon as the opportunity became apparent. That’s an absolute disgrace.

Boty Nagy reporting that the Phillipines coach said something at a timeout that incited his players to fight.
Goulding flopped big time just quietly. Hardly any contact if any. Kickert lost the plot and should get a lengthy ban from all forms of Basketball.
As for the Phillipines as a whole...2 year ban from world basketball minimum for mine.

Was watching last night, was unbelievable...

If it wasn't so sad I might say something along the lines of Kickert finally hit a shot...

Just unbelievable scenes... Goulding needs to stop falling over at the slightest breeze, and Kickert needs to be banned for ages... The Phillipines should be gone for awhile as well...

I just saw the video. One of the commentators (might have been Shane Heal) said: 'I mean Blatche should be fined for throwing such a soft punch anyway.'

Got to say I don’t like violence but pretty disappointed in the Australia who literally just stood there while 3-4 of their team mates got punched in

Not really, ensured they had enough players to complete the match....unlike the opposition who ended up with 3 players and then fouled out to forfeit.

And had they cleared the bench they would have all been ejected. Australians clearly know their rules.

Not to mention that a full riot would have occurred

Refs have to take some of the blame, their performance leading up to this was poor. Three tech fouls were thrown around in the previous few minutes

What’s even more concerning is the lack of shame from the Phillipines. As bad as that incident was with a crowd that big they are lucky there wasn’t an all out riot. From there anything could have happened!

Agree

If it wasn’t for our player with the African heritage I think a few of our lads were in serious life threatening danger.

It was a disgraceful act by Kickert which started it.

Both teams should be ashamed
