I looked into further and noticed both game 3s were scheduled for Sunday. Assuming the big gaps were travel to NZ?

The reason for the strange scheduling with 2 x Melb/NZ and 1 x Adel/Perth this weekend and then reversing that next weekend was due to the limited venue availability of Spark Arena in Auckland.

The game was in NZ tonight after playing in Melbourne on Saturday. The distance between Melbourne and Auckland is very similar to Adelaide to Perth.

More AFL interest with confirmation the Crows are looking into a commercial partnership with the 36ers.

The Adelaide 36ers and the Adelaide Crows are reportedly looking at a commercial partnership that would include “marketing and membership cross-promotion, shared resources and would provide the Crows with an international reach”.

Writing in The Advertiser, Reece Homfray reports the partnership could even open the way for the Crows to own “a stake in the NBL club”. The Crows say an ownership deal has not been discussed.

Big risk. Few scathing comments on FB when reading about it this morning. Some of them Crows fans as well, worried about the risk of losing some of the supporter base

The 36ers share a lot of things with Port, the Crows and other sports clubs like the Strikers already.
It's hardly big news. Must be a slow week.

There's more to it than that. Even though publicly the Crows have denied it supposedly there have been serious talks about them buying into the 36ers.

Erin Phillips was big enough to put her Port loyalty to the side to play for the Crows, hopefully Port fans will follow her lead ;)

Haha makes me feel ill seeing her in that jumper but at least she has the opportunity to play AFLW. She will be long retired before Port look at having their own team

Perth coach Trevor Gleeson getting in early.

"They do a really good job of accentuating the contact," Gleeson explained speaking to media.

"They're masters at it. They lead the league in foul shooting. I think they've had 200 more foul shots than any other team in the league through the regular season."

We just need to keep our cool, all night, no matter what - coach included!
You know the crowd will be feral, you know Gleeson will play the victim & you know we’ll inevitably get hosed by the refs.
So long as we ride that storm, stick to the plan & run, run, run - we won’t have to worry about a game 3.

100% Agree, Joey just needs to keep his cool. Gleeson is softening up the refs here.
