Only 31 and played 9 seasons without missing the finals. Mind, Perth have played finals 33 years straight.

Hire did well to play as long as he did and got the most out of himself.

A lot of Perth fans were hoping he wasn't going to be re-signed before the season.

Don’t think Joey Wright will coach Adelaide next season

Has the new Victorian team announced their coach?

Joey's under contract for another three years but I suspect he will quit. There was talk he wanted to quit as soon as the Mitch Creek thing happened but was convinced to see the season out.

The SE Melb Phoenix have already appointed former United assistant Simon Mitchell as their head coach for next season.

That’s exactly my mail. Was really disgusted at the way the club went about the Mitch Creek saga.

Also don’t think he gets on well with the NBL heiracy

It actually wouldn't surprise me if Joey is coaching the Kings next season. The belief is that even if the Kings win the title Gaze will step down as coach this is the final season of his initial 3 year contract and I think even he realises he's not cut out for coaching.

When the Kings started this season slowly there was talk of Joey replacing Gaze next season and Jeff van Groningen the Kings GM has a close relationship with Joey as he was the GM at the Bullets in Joey's time there.

Much needed win. I didn’t realise how easy Brisbane’s final 3 games are so we still need to find another win

Yep Hawks percentage is a fair bit below us so if tied we would still go ahead however the Bullets have a better percentage than us so we likely need to finish with a better record than Brisbane to make it.
