According to Boti Nagy Mitch Creek has agreed in principle to sign with the new SE Melbourne Phoenix team coming into the NBL next season after the G-League season.

Mitch Creek says six NBA teams are showing interest in signing him after his strong performances in the G League but he has not ruled out returning to Australia to play for the South East Melbourne Phoenix or other NBL suitors.

The one team he will not play for is the Adelaide 36ers.

Creek says he has too many "bad memories" from his rocky departure from Adelaide after eight years with the team.

"That's done," Creek told AAP on Wednesday.

"I stay in touch with the boys, the coaches, the staff, but there are probably half a dozen people there that ruined me ever going back there."

I think it's a case of the 'NBA affect'. Teeing up blokes for the most pathetically minimal incidents to avoid potential flareups.
